Running your own care location as a franchisee

Are you a healthcare professional who wants to contribute to personal, small-scale care as an entrepreneur? Through De Drie Notenboomen, independent care entrepreneurs work every day to provide a comfortable home for people with care needs. They do so across our care concepts: Herbergier, Thomashuis, Zorgbutler, and Thomas Op Kamers.

As a franchise organisation, we support care entrepreneurs in starting, taking over, and running a location. This includes guidance, training, coaching, quality assurance, real estate, and communications.

What is care entrepreneurship?

Care entrepreneurship is different from being an employee. As a care entrepreneur, you direct the daily care, your team, and your own business—for Herbergier and Thomashuis, together with your life partner. You operate within a proven care concept while also bringing your own knowledge and experience to the role. For Herbergier and Thomashuis, you and your partner also live on-site in a private apartment.

Care entrepreneurs consciously choose small-scale living, personal attention, and responsibility. They know their residents well and stay close to their team, relatives, and day-to-day operations. While they receive advice and support from DDN as franchisor, they are ultimately responsible for running their location.

Herbergier

As a care entrepreneur at Herbergier, you live in or adjacent to the Herbergier home together with your life partner, and potentially your family. One of the entrepreneurs is a registered healthcare professional (BIG-registered) with extensive experience in healthcare. In addition, one of you has leadership experience. Together, you manage a team of approximately 30 staff members.

Thomashuis

As a care entrepreneur at Thomashuis, you live in or adjacent to the Thomashuis home together with your life partner, and potentially your family. One of the entrepreneurs holds a relevant qualification and extensive experience in disability care. In addition, one of you has leadership experience. Together, you lead a small team of around 5 staff members.

Zorgbutler

As a care entrepreneur at De Zorgbutler, you run a location independently as a nurse. You live within a maximum 30-minute commute. You are a registered nurse (BIG-registered), have management experience, and possess extensive experience in elderly care. You lead a team of approximately 14 staff members.

Thomas op Kamers

As a care entrepreneur at Thomas Op Kamers, you live within a maximum 30-minute commute of the location. You have experience in outpatient support, broad experience working with people with mild learning disabilities (LVB/LVG), and a strong desire to run your own business. In addition, you hold a relevant qualification (at least Level 4) and knowledge of the Social Support Act (Wmo) framework. Leadership experience is an advantage, as you will lead a small team of staff members.
